Pernod Ricard South Africa has pledged to donate R2m to support bartenders and waiters over the current lockdown period with their #KeepTheSpirit initiative. “We are standing behind the people whose commitment and conviviality has made Pernod Ricard’s brands what they are today. We know there may be a tough road ahead for them and we want to reach out and keep spirits up,” says Vincent Meliet, Commercial Development Director at Pernod Ricard South Africa.
Eat Out has also implemented a dedicated page, Beyond Lockdown, that aims to help support restaurants financially. We invite diners who would have gone out to eat to offer some of that money to the restaurants. This can be done via GoFundMe, or funds can be pledged to individual staff members through BackaBuddy. Please visit it to help our industry.
Thank you, your donation will make a difference in someone’s life today.
Please ensure you add your name and email address in the reference section so that we can get in touch and thank you. Please note: All donations are currently being administered by our Partner NGO, Community Chest.
