314,810 South African Rand - that's around 16,189 Euro - has been raised with thanks to #CAPREOcares, the fundraising campaign for the Eat Out Restaurant Relief Fund.

A few days ago, CAPREO handed over the donation cheque to the Eat Out Restaurant Relief Fund. The money has been used to help restaurants in South Africa to provide meals to people in need during the COVID-19 pandemic so that they can continue to operate and secure the jobs of their employees.

CAPREO is a German based company who specialise in selling premium South African wines to private consumers in Europe, UK and Switzerland since 2007. CAPREO decided to create the #CAPREOcares campaign to provide a platform where we can all make a difference, all through simply buying wine.

Every bottle of wine sold through the #CAPREOcares campaign has also helped to maintain and uplift the Cape's restaurant and winery scene and make the everyday lives of the people in this crisis just a little bit better.

To add to this amazing news, Cape Ardor, who partnered with CAPREO and Eat Out, have also raised funds to the amount of R27 116,33 through a similar campaign in the USA.

Since its launch in April, the Eat Out Restaurant Relief Fund has raised over 2.7 million rands and supported 55 restaurants across South Africa. In total, more than one million meals have been distributed to the needy.
